Background

The Connovate Innovation Project was initiated in 2007 in order to address increasing global climate and environmental issues, by developing an Industrial Building System that significantly reduces CO2 emissions, while at the same time significantly reduce costs throughout the entire building process and ownership.

Connovate Aps was founded in 2010 by a group of companies who wanted to develop a more sustainable and recyclable type of concrete and an associated intelligent and lean method of using the concrete for creating housing and other major constructions. The core companies behind Connovate were Arkitema Architects, the largest architectural company in Denmark together with Ambercon A/S, the most modern manufacturer of prefabricated concrete building elements in Denmark.

The Technical University of Denmark and a number of independent consultancy companies have participated in The Connovate Innovation Project.
